1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using NameAtlas, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who may use NameAtlas

You may use NameAtlas only if doing so is lawful where you live and you can form a binding agreement. The service is designed for adults exploring baby names and is not intended for children under 13.

3. Personal use and limited license

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use NameAtlas for personal, non-commercial name discovery and shortlist management. Except as allowed by law or with our written permission, you may not resell, republish, or commercially exploit the service or its content.

4. Accounts, invite codes, and shared lists

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, device access, and invite codes secure, and for activity that happens through your account or shared list access.

If you invite another person into a shared shortlist, they may be able to view, add, remove, or react to names associated with that shared space.

5. Premium features, subscriptions, and billing

Certain filters or premium tools may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase through Apple. Prices, trial offers if any, renewal timing, cancellations, and refund eligibility are handled through Apple's billing systems and your App Store account settings.

We may change pricing or the mix of free and paid features in the future, but changes will not retroactively alter a purchase already completed.

6. Privacy

Your use of NameAtlas is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle account information, shortlist activity, subscription status, and technical data needed to operate the service.

7. Name data and informational content

NameAtlas is built to help you explore and organize baby-name ideas. Name meanings, origin notes, rankings, compatibility ideas, filters, and website articles are provided for general information and inspiration only.

You are responsible for deciding whether a name is appropriate for your family, culture, language, or legal registration requirements.

8. Prohibited conduct

• Do not interfere with the service, bypass limits, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Do not scrape content, run bots, bulk extract data, or reverse engineer the service except where applicable law clearly allows it.
• Do not use invite codes, shared lists, or other features for spam, fraud, harassment, impersonation, or other harmful conduct.
• Do not upload or share material you do not have rights to use, or material that violates privacy, intellectual property rights, or applicable law.

9. Intellectual property

NameAtlas, including the app, website design, software, text, graphics, branding, and curated content we provide, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without compensation or further obligation to you.

10. Availability, third-party services, and changes

NameAtlas may rely on third-party providers such as Apple and Supabase. We are not responsible for outages, delays, or policy changes caused by those providers.

We may add, remove, pause, or update features at any time, including parts of the website or app that are still evolving.

11. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend, or end access to NameAtlas if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users or the service, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if we stop offering all or part of the service.

You may stop using NameAtlas at any time, and subscriptions can be cancelled through Apple.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NameAtlas is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy, or that the service will meet every expectation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NameAtlas and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the service.

13. Updates and contact

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
